Notification and Escalations kept sending approval emails even though requisition is old and already

Hello -

We are having an issue. Notifications and Escalations kept sending approval emails even though requisition is old and already completed. It is impacting the business, since this requisitions are too old, and already done. I found Doc ID 2064908.1, and want to follow the solution provided, but it will affect the other modules as well. Do you have any ideas/solutions on how to prevent on this one? It will help a lot. Thank you!
