My asmfd devices are not being detected following a server reboot

Similar to MOS note 2529834.1, my asmfd devices are not being detected by asm following a server reboot.  I am considering re-configuring asmfd in order to see if that will resolve my issue, but I have a few questions:

As I cannot find a lot of documentation on how to deconfigure AFD. Do I follow the instructions for configuring it (MOS 2305707.1), but use "deconfigure" instead of "configure"?

Is /dev/oracleafd/disks supposed to be populated following a reboot?

What should I set /etc/oraclafd.conf to? At the moment it is set to /dev/sd*, /dev/mapper/*, AFD:*

  • /dev/sd* - this is a problem as these disks are owned by root

Howdy, Stranger!
