JAVA Class file are replaced by the ADOP even class file in patch has a lower version

We are seeing a weird behavior while applying the patch through ADOP ( R12.2.7) , in JAVA_TOP class files are getting replaced even though patch version is lower than application version.

OS Version - AIX 7.1

DB Version - 12.1.0.2

Run file System -

[applmgr@XXXX:OUPG]:/opt/oracle/apps122/OUPG/fs1/EBSapps/comn/java/classes/oracle/apps/ego/item/eu/webui ]teItemRevisionPopListCO.class <

EgoUpdateItemRevisionPopListCO.class:

Patch File System ( After applying the patch , fs_clone was also run before running the patching cycle)
