Generate Work Orders ignores exception dates on inventory work day calendar

Does Oracle's EAM "Generate PM Work Orders" program take into account the exception dates assigned in the inventory work day calendar?  We are finding that when we setup exception, the program is still creating work orders for those dates.  Our hope was it would work more like ASCP/MRP where it doesn't release work orders on non-working days.  I have read a few community posts that I think say EAM basically ignores work day calendar but I am not sure if those are still accurate or not.

This is an example screen shot of our work day calendar setup.  We would expect Oracle's program to not generate work orders during the week of 9/6/2020, but it does.
