Which Database version is appropriate to my requirement

Hi gurus,

I need some expert level technical opinion to make a recommendation to my client.  First I will state where the client stands as of now, next I will explain where he wants to go in terms of upgrade oracle Database version and migration of HP-UX to Linux.

1.Client stands here now:  Operating system: HP-UX B.11.23 U 9000/800.  Database version: Oracle EE 10.2.0.4.  Database is Primarily OLTP.

2.Client wants to upgrade database version(10.2.0.4) to .. some Version .. for example 19c RU8.  Also want to migrate from HP-UX to Linux x86-64.

Basing on the above 1 and 2 above, the client wants to upgrade to highest version possible using DataPump methods.
