Public sector employees are exempt from the Family Leave Insurance (FLI/MLI).  We have 3  companies (COC, NCR & RET) of which the table for each of the companies is as "Exempt" for FLI/MLI.  RET company is for retired employees who are eligible for Medicare reimbursement. Two retirees where entered and for some reason FLI/ER populated.

    

Then we had over 200 hire/rehires assigned to Company COC and they also had the FLI/ER portion populate. I don't know if there is some connection with the paygroup, because we have had other new/rehire employee in company COC and the FLI/ER has not populated for them.  These particular 200+ employees  belong to paygroup FR5, and since this new MA FLI has been implemented, I believe Sept 2019; there were no active employees in FR5.
