DBCA ASMCMD-8002

I am trying to create a Oracle Management Repository database using DBCA with the template 12.1.0.2.0_Database_Template_for_EM13_3_0_0_0_Medium_deployment.dbc.

Oracle RDBMS software is 12.2.0.1

Oracle grid software for ASM Oracle Restart is 12.2.0.1

I have modified the template for ASM as described in https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E63000_01/EMBSC/install_em_exist_db.htm#EMBSC166.

I do not understand why the DBCA thinks that the instance directory should exist,  DBCA should create the instance directory.
