R01050 performance

Hello Folks,

I understand that the performance issue has already been reported multiple times and there is an open enhancement around this documented under:

E1: 01: Copy Category Codes to Customer Master (R01050) Does Not Data Select on F0101 (Doc ID 1672645.1)

Would like to seek inputs if anyone had any workaround to overcome the performance faced by running R01050 report. We have split up the processing into 3 different versions to update Cat Codes 1 - 10, 11-20 and 21-30 but it still seems to take approximately 26-30 hours for approximate record count of 1838994.
