Capacity Planning

Hello Team,

I have some concerns about Capacity Planning in Manufacturing.

1. Is it possible to enter production capacities in units/quantities rather than hours/time ?

2. Ultimately, what we needs is for the MRP scheduling not to overload the production line with work orders all scheduled for the same time.  We would like JDE to schedule work orders only up to the maximum capacity of the production line. For example, if the line can produce 30 units/day, then MRP should not schedule production for more than 30 units on a given day.

3. MRP schedules work orders to replenish the safety stock, but all on the same day, rather than building up on hand inventory slowly over time to meet the expected demand. Having capacity entered for the production line and MRP scheduling against this capacity could be one solution to this problem.

Howdy, Stranger!
