Leave Transaction record deleted if F06116 record deleted

Hi Everyone,  I've found that if a Leave Transaction is entered (F07620 record), approved (F06116Z1 record created), processed to the F06116, and then deleted from the F06116, the Leave Transaction record is deleted rather than updated with a status indicating it's fate.  Has anyone else had this issue and found a way to solve it?  The best option for us would be the F07620 status field gets updated to indicate what happened.  Is there a way to stop users from deleting the Leave time entry records in the F06116?  Any help suggestions would be great.  Thank You!
