IR hanging in OGG 12.2

Hello All,
We've Bi-directional replication between two Oracle pluggable databases. We're taking integrated approach.
We do see an IR getting hanged, it doesn't do any checkpoints when we try to stop it, that too doesn't work. It shows below error, we then need to kill it and then start. It works fine after that.
ending STOP request to REPLICAT RPTPAC ...
ERROR: sending message to REPLICAT RPTPAC (Timeout waiting for message).
How can we identify the root cause of the IR getting hanged ? We've tried checking at DB Alert logs also but couldn't find much.
This randomly happens with different replicats.
