How to understand OVM server kdump vmcore file

Hi all,

Since the week is starting I wish you all a great and fantastic week!

Do you guys, know how to view/understand/read the result of a vmcore file created by kdump?

Last week, one of my servers simply went down and rebooted by it self. I did a deep investigation to find the root cause and found two strange things:

1 - There aren't messages of any type on /var/log indicating a system crash or even a cluster eviction

2 - I've found a mcelog file with content and strange messages leading me to the hardware logs

I already know that the cause was related with a damaged memory DIM and then tried to understand the mcelog messages. I also found a file named "vmcore" on a folder inside /var/crash/127.0.0.1-2020-07-30-10:21:56 but I've no ideia on how to read this file, since I don't have crash command on my OVM servers.

Howdy, Stranger!
