INFORMATION: Period End Close in Process Costing 12.2.9

Message: Process Manufacturing Organization periods cannot be closed from this form.

We just completed an upgrade from 12.1.3 to 12.2.9 and I wanted to share something we ran into that is a new "feature" so that it's documented out here so that you don't end up chasing your tail for awhile as I did.  I hope that since this is indexed in MOS, it can help someone find the information more quickly than I did.

The change is that in 12.2.9, you can no longer close process-enabled inventory orgs in the Inventory Accounting Periods window.  You must use the period close concurrent program to do this in 12.2.9.  I researched the Process Costing documentation for 12.1 and 12.2 and found the following difference in the 12.2 document posted on Oracle's documentation website:
