JDE Oracle - Retire Roles

We have security roles in Oracle JDE Enterprise V9.1 that are no longer in use. We do not want any user to get assign security rights to these roles by mistake. Is there a way to retire these roles? We do not want to delete these roles due to audit reasons.

We want to disable these roles so that no other users can get assigned to these roles.
