My aim is to use the VDO data reduction feature of Linux on latest server

# cat /etc/oracle-release Oracle Linux Server release 8.2

# uname -r 5.4.17-2011.1.2.el8uek.x86_64

# yum install vdo kmod-kvdo - From Install Media - Successful -

Installed: kmod-kvdo-6.2.2.117-65.0.1.el8.x86_64 vdo-6.2.2.117-13.el8.x86_64

Complete!

#modinfo kvdo modinfo:

ERROR: Module kvdo not found.

# vdo create --device=/dev/xvdb1 --writePolicy=async --sparseIndex=enabled --indexMem=2 --name=vdo0 --force

Creating VDO vdo0 vdo:

ERROR - Kernel module kvdo not installed vdo:

ERROR - modprobe: FATAL: Module kvdo not found in directory /lib/modules/5.4.17-2011.1.2.el8uek.x86_64
