Life Events calculating retro after tax deductions
We have received a requirement from our benefits team in regards to IRS regulations around the way deductions are collected for retro payment/refund of premiums. For any Life Event (except Birth, Adoption and New Hires) premiums that need to be collected retroactively should be an after tax deduction until the employee is brought current, then the deduction is to switch to before tax.
Looking to see how others have handled this in their system setup. We have reto ben turned on and using PS Payroll.
We are on 9.2 -PUM31/ 8.57.07
