How to keep with new kernel releases and Symantec Endpoint Protection

Hello,

I would like to know how sysadmins are handling the lack of support from Symantec Endpoint Security the the newest UEK kernels. We are using SEP and have a requirement to install it on Oracle Linux Oracle VM guest VMs. These guest VMs are OL 7.7 and OL 7.8 and are currently UEK kernels 4.14.35-1902.10.7.el7uek.x86_64 and 4.14.35-1902.304.6.el7uek.x86_64.

The latest SEP client, v14.3 MP 1, installation fails giving the following error:

After some research I have learned the SEP modules can be compiled for a specific kernel. Is that the general procedure to get SEP to work with the UEK kernel and if so, is there any documentation available. If not, how are folks installing SEP on the systems with the UEK kernel?

Howdy, Stranger!
