OL6 to OL7 Upgrade In Place? with a database or OHS Server?

Has anyone successfully made an upgrade-in-place from OL6_x86_64 to OL7_x86_64 on a virtual guest (ESXi 6) that was functioning as an OHS server?  Or as a Oracle 12c database server?  Before I build a migration plan around an upgrade-in-place approach I'd like to confirm that it can even be successfully done.
