What is the best way to store asset tag and asset serial number having more than 30 characters in as

Hi All

What is the best way to store asset tag and asset serial number having more than 30 characters in asset workbench?We have a requirement where asset tag and serial number are more than 50 characters and it can increase up to 100 characters also... do we have any best way of storing this apart from attachments? DFF might not be an option as it can store only up to 250 characters.
