Oracle Linux upgrade from 6.10 to 7.8

Hi,

I am planning for oracle linux OS  on x86-64 upgrade from 6.10 to 7.8 , knowing that it's a database server running oracle DB 18.9.0.0  database , please i need the right approach( in-place upgrade or new box ) and clear steps to be taken.
