Whats the difference between LINE_RECOVERABLE and EXTENDED_AMOUNT in RA_CUSTOMER_TRX_LINES_ALL?

Following are the questions:

Whats the difference between LINE_RECOVERABLE and EXTENDED_AMOUNT in RA_CUSTOMER_TRX_LINES_ALL table ?

Will Autoinvoice program populate LINE_RECOVERABLE and EXTENDED_AMOUNT always? if so is there any possibility of both the columns having different amount.

Please suggest me a document that can referred for understanding usages of LINE_RECOVERABLE, TAX_RECOVERABLE and any setup behind these columns to get it populated.
