12.1.3 and java web start issue - java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

R12.1.3 running on RHEL on premise.

Referring to Using Java Web Start with Oracle E-Business Suite (Doc ID 2188898.1)

I set this up once before as a test and it seemed to work but unfortunately it is not working for me this time.

I have applied all the patches and run adautocfg which completes successfully.

I then made the change from s_forms_launch_method from browser to jws and saved it.

I am running 1.8.0_251 on my desktop and Java throws "Unable to launch the application!"

Any tips or pointers on how to troubleshoot this further? Did I miss something?
