"The address is not valid" message when opening Financial Reporting Studio

Hello,

We are using FRS 11.1.2.4.710. We are going to be upgrading in a few months, so we do not want to patch, but maybe you can help me fix this problem.

When we try to open a report from Workspace using "Open in Studio Preview" or "Launch Financial Reporting Studio", with Internet Explorer, we get a message, "The address is not valid". If we use Firefox instead, we get a message that FRS is not installed.

A co-worker and I both get these messages. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, which did not fix the issue. We can use Web Studio, and we can open FRS from the desktop and then open the reports, so we have work arounds. But I would like to fix this problem because my preferred method of opening FRS is from Workspace. I suspect some recent Windows upgrade is behind this, but cannot pin point which one. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this?
