Term Search Criteria in Student Records

I have been asked why the Term is carried over/defaulted on the search page for some Student Records components.  For example, on the search page of the STDNT_ENRL component (Records and Enrollment > Enroll Students > Enrollment), once an EMPLID, INSTITUTION and STRM are entered, those values default in for the next search.  Is there a way to prevent the Term value from carrying over between searches?

We are on PT 8.57.14 and CS 9.2 PUM 17.
