Absence Hours Calculating to Multiples of the Original Amount

We recently encountered a handful of transactions where the Absence Results DAY_COUNT value is a seemingly random multiple of the original amount entered in Absence Events. GPPDPRUN runs to Success. There appears to be no pattern to the transactions and the resulting Day Count value beyond multi-day Absences increasing in DAY_COUNT amount. We are able to recalculate the transactions on an Off-Cycle Absence Calendar and the error self-corrects. We were able to provide a trace to Oracle Support and think it might have something to do with schedules resolving to more than a single day. Has anyone else encountered this
