client compatibility - java

Am in final stages of preparing to upgrade db from 12.1 to 18c.  Need to check that all clients will still be compatible.  I know from the matrix that clients as old as 11.2 will still be good (if I have any, checking on that now), but am not sure how to map this to java clients.  For instance, we have one reported as using 'Java version 1.80_66-b17'.  The application's config screen shows "database url: jdbc:oracle:thin:@&lt;servername>:1521:<dbname>'  I'm really out of my depth with anything java.  This is just the first example, there are several other servers I haven't gotten to yet.
