Publish Path - Is manual publishing the only option when adding a publish path to an existing BP?

Aloha,

We have some BPs which contain attached documents.  These are being filed to the Unpublished folder. 

We plan to update these BPs with a publish path. 

Question:  To publish the unpublished docs after the BP has been set with a publish path is our only option to manually published the documents in the unpublished folder to the DM publish path folder?  Trying to minimize any manual efforts is possible and minimize any risk of human error. 

Fingers crossed we would not be required to manually publish for all projects.
