best way to upgrade EBS 2 apps tiers 2 node rac from 12.1.0.2 database to 19c?

2 apps tiers, 2 node rac

EBS 12.2.3 Database 12.1.0.2, os Oracle LInux 6.6

What is the best way to ugprade this 12.1.0.2 database to 19c?

1. OS needs to be upgraded.for database and apps tiers to Linux 7.

2. Cluster needs to be upgraded

3. Databases need to be upgraded.

4. The OS will need to be installed new. Or can you install LInux 7 on top of Oracle Linux 6.6 and keep all the original,

so now you are just upgrading what is on the boxes and don't have to worry about installing or how to get the cluster back on the new Oracle Linux 7 box?


If this was not a 2 node rac, it wouldn't even be a question.     What do I do with the cluster part of the upgrade?  The OS needs to be upgraded.  This will be a 'new install' of Oracle Linux 7 on a new server.
