zfs zpool compression on Solaris 11.4 for Oracle database

We would like to enable zpool compression before creating a 1.5T oracle database. Does it cause any latency or application lag, what are the downsides of enabling this feature. What would be the compression ratio i can expect. Are there different options in enabling the compression.
