User able to modify step assignment without permissions

Production Environment

Unifier Release: Version: 19.12.2.1 b-02192020-21

BP Type: Simple

User conducted actions on iPad in step 03 (workflow screenshot 1 attached) of the BP. He was making comments on the Inspections notes and by finger fault accidentally changed the creator field, a read only field, to his name (screenshot 2 of the Audit Log and upperform on the record).

How is it possible to change a "Read only" field if the user does not have permissions to modify step assignments (screenshot 3 also attached)?
