Smart View Member Option: Ancestor Position

Smart View:  I noted that under the Member Options there is a selection under "General" that allows for the user to Select the Ancestor Position (Top/Bottom).  Many of my end users would like to see the Parents above the children.  However, even after selecting Top for Ancestor Position the Smart View drill down places the Parents/Ancestors below each child.
