ILOM /SP/console hung after OL 7.7 Upgrade (19.6)

Half way through the ODA 19.6 upgrade on an ODA X6-2L.

The OS upgrade from 6.9 to 7.7 has worked.

However, I am now unable to get a response from the SP/console.

I can connect fine but as soon as I start the console it just hangs and doesn't show any input/output.

I can cancel out of the console but other than this nothing.

-> start /SP/console

Are you sure you want to start /SP/console (y/n)? y

Serial console started.  To stop, type ESC (

At this point it ignores any input whatsover  including ctrl C etc.

It will take the ESC ( command and go back to the prompt thiough.
