As of 1/1/2021, remove Second Book for a BU

We currently have two books set up for a BU. On 1/1/2021, they would like to discontinue the second book. Is there any documentation on if we are allowed to do this and how to do it? Also if we are allowed to do it, do we need to retire the second book for all the assets as of 12/31/2020 as well?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
