How to restrict SIT on (ESS)

Hi,

We have created an SIT and enabled that on Employee Self Service. Our requirement is to restrict user to initiate another SIT if there is no end date exist on already existing SIT request. (screenshot attached). Currently employee can initiate multiple SIT.

We need to input end date on SIT and restrict user to initiate another request if there is no end date.
