P4108 Duplicate Lot Numbers

Hello, we have had a few instances where suppliers are sending repeat lot numbers 10 years apart. In this scenario, because the lot already exists in the lot master from 10 years ago, the new instance of the lot is already expired. Is there any way to remove (purge) old lot numbers from the 4108? I found a question similar to this from 2014. I was hoping there is an update to that answer which is, "NO" you cannot remove old lots from 4108. In the screenshot below, the on hand date is 02/09/09 but the lot effective date is
