Auto-publish issues when creating record from Document Manager

Has anyone else run into issues with auto-publishing when creating records from the Document Manager.  We are testing out having the users load documents or publish email attachments into the DM and then launch the BP from there. If we create the BP record from the DM the auto-publishing does not work.  We also tried to use the re-publish and move functionality to avoid having auto-created records (revisions) of the same BP publish to the source record's file path and that doesn't seem to be working either.  Any advice, suggestions would be appreciated.
