1st Pay Period of 2021 being paid in 2020 in Oracle Payroll

Hello,

We have a situation where as per our payroll calendar, the check date of 1st pay period of 2021 falls on 01-Jan-2020. This is for US Payroll.

Our payroll will be paying the employees on 31-Dec-2020, instead of 01-Jan-2021. So the earnings will fall in 2020 tax year.

So even though the Period name is 1 2021 Week, it will be an additional pay period of 2020.

And the pay period 2 2021 Week will be our 1st Pay Period of 2021, and so on.

I would like to understand if there will be any implications of this in Oracle payroll that we should be aware of ?
