S7-2 Server does not see the remoteISO device path for the redirected CDROM iso image device.

I have followed the MOS doc about unable to boot from 11.3 from  the remote iso image device, to no avail. I did initially see the device upon first power up for about 1 boot attempt, then the device went away. How can that get disabled from the OBP discovery or from the SP when the server is powered on/reset?

I did disable the mini-root as per MOS, attached the iso image, connected it through the redirect applet, it shows connected (the dvd drive icon is bolded), but no show-disks pick up the device or show-devs, or no probe-scsi-all.

With mini-root enabled, probe-scsi-all does show the remoteISO device, but not on the /pci@311 device path. the rcdrom points to the mini-root. I have updated to 9.9.3 and to 9.10.0 of the firmware with no help. I have even updated the mini-root to the 11.4.25 or so, image. unable to boot from mini-root, it starts to load the kernel then it panics.
