I get bumped back to dashboard when i try to ping interface. Any idea why that might be?

I've noticed when i try to ping from an interface, to verify connectivity on a specific WAN link for example, it bumps me back to the dashboard like the command was invalid. Anyone seen this behavior?
I go to Troubleshooting > Ping > Ping Interface. I pick a specific interface/routing domain i know are valid and try to ping the gateway IP (or a further hop), but when i hit the "ping interface" button, i'm just redirected to the dashboard front page.
Anyone who what might be up there? I'm using an E100 with the following software -
