MRP for Maintenance parts without use of PMs, BOMs and forecast

Hello,

The requirement is to use MRP only for planning of Maintenance parts, but in an environment where PMs do not require BOMs (they are all inspection PMs) and no PM forecast is involved. The only demand for parts is coming from maintenance work orders created based on the results of equipment inspections. They can be scheduled to start anywhere from one week to six months in future.

Set up

• A Maintenance purchased part is set up for MRP in Item Branch the same way a purchased part would be set up in Manufacturing environment.
• The workday calendar exists.
• Supply/Demand Inclusion Rules are created and the same type is specified in R3482 Processing Options.
