ALERT: Adobe Flash End-of-Life Impact on Database Monitoring in Oracle Enterprise Manager

Oracle Enterprise Manager’s database performance pages were initially written using Adobe Flash technology.  

These database performance pages included the ‘Performance Home’, ‘Top Activity’, ‘ASH Analytics’, ‘Real-time SQL Monitoring’ among many others.

Flash-based content will be blocked from running in Adobe Flash Player and thus in Enterprise Manager 13.3.1.0 and older after the EOL Date.”

The Adobe Flash end-of-life (EOL) is December 31, 2020.

EM 13.3, using the 13.3.2 Database Management Plug-in, does not rely on Flash and corrects the problem.

EM 13.4 provides further enhancements to the affected pages.

Customers are advised to upgrade to EM 13.4, with the latest Release Update, before the Flash end-of-life date, Dec. 31, 2020.
