Blockchain's use in backups and redo logs

Hello,

I am working on a degree in management information systems, am currently studying blockchain technology, and have to write an essay on how it is used.  I was told that Oracle uses blockchain for backups and redo logs.  Will someone please point me to documentation, whitepapers, anything that details this use?  I have researched it on Oracle's website but I am only finding information on Oracle's blockchain platform.
