Automatic Vacation Balance Payout (including Zeroing Balances) at Termination
My organization uses use Absence Management and Payroll for North America. We are seeking a solution that we can easily configure within Absence Management, that would reduce vacation balances at the time they are paid out - this would be at the time of Termination. We have an issue where some employee vacation balances are paid out at the time of Termination, but the vacation balance is either cleared at a much later time, or not at all.
The problem is that if/when these employees are re-hired at a later date, these vacation balances show up for them, since they were not adjusted to zero, when the employee terminated, and the vacation balances were paid. It is a burden to the organization to have vacation balances on the books that have been paid, but not zeroed out.
