OTL Workflow Status of Timecard

I am looking for a function I could add to a timecard responsibility / menu option, really don't mind the solution, but soemthing that will tell the user what status / who the timecard is waiting on. We have an OTL Timecard Dashboard but it does not show the flow and who the timecard is waiting on. A user friendly option would be nice, we will not give users Workflow Admin. Thanks!
