HFM Inactive/Dormant Entities

HFM Experts,

By deleting inactive or dormant entities in HFM , can we expect a significant improvement in Consolidation performance OR the HFR/Smart view retrieval performance ? Could you please throw some knowledge on the performance gain with dormant entity deletion in HFM?

I have few other technical questions on the same line. Appreciate if some one could clarify.

1. Inactive Entities with "NO DATA" , will the HFM application still allocates Memory in the Application Server during Consolidation and Smart view retrieval?

2 . If Yes ,  would it cause a performance impact while consolidation or Smart view retrieval?

3. Inactive Entities with "NO DATA" , will there be a sub cube created in memory and participate in Consolidation or Smart View retrieval?
