Retroactive Pricing in Oracle Purchasing

Introduction

Its very common in todays changing world that the negotiations with suppliers is an on-going processes while a company already started procuring from them. To meet this industry demand, Oracle has a standard feature that allows the system to enable the retroactive processing at different levels and apply them automatically or on-demand

How do we enable it

The profile option PO: Allow Retroactive Pricing of POs = NEVER / ALL RELEASES / OPEN RELEASES allows us to enable this feature in Oracle Instance. This will enable 'Apply Retroactive Price Update to Existing PO/Releases' check box at the Blanket Agreement Approval window and also let the 'Retroactive Price Update of Purchasing Documents' concurrent program will update any Releases/Standard POs that has the BPA referenced.
