SABRIX integration with E-Business Tax: Some inputs

This is summary of interaction with Gurus on Sabrix integration with E Business Tax. Thought of compiling it as a document for reference. New findings will be updated time to time.

Problem Statement

1. Are there cases where Sabrix directly talks to any transactional modules of R12 EBS or it always go thru eBiz tax?

2. E-Biz Tax integrated with other Oracle products like Siebel?

3. What is the advantage of having E-Business Tax when you define everything in Sabrix? Or do we have certain work done in E-Biz tax even after the integration with Sabrix?

E-Business Tax is the only support integration point in the EBS product suite for third party integrators.  The calling modules invoke ebtax passing in the transaction attributes and the ebtax module then invokes the third party.  This allows the calculated taxes to be stored in the proper tax tables for reporting/accounting purposes.
