Backup and Recover Enterprise Manager 13c - Quick Guide

Hi OEM Community

Following you can find a quick reference for how to backup and recover Enterprise Manager 13c. Please let me know in the comment box if something is not understandable or don't hesitate to contact me at always I respond messages.

Although Enterprise Manager functions as a single entity, technically, it is built on a distributed, multi-tier software architecture composed of the following software components:

  • Oracle Management Services (OMS)
  • Management Agent
  • Management Repository
  • Software Library

Sites host multiple OMS instances. OMS instances fronted by a Server Load Balancer.

OMS Configuration backed up using emctl exportconfig oms command. Primary OMS on host "A" is lost and needs to be recovered on Host "B".
