APPLSYSPUB password in clear text in XML config files

does anyone know of a way to encrypt this password so that it doesn't break the application?  my cyber group has major heartburn over clear text paswords.  they haven't found this one yet, but i want to be prepared if they find it before i self-report it.

As per "Secure ConfigurationGuide for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12" password of APPLSYSPUB should not change

this user is  initial, pre-authentication user with minimal privileges to assist with APPS (FND) user authentication., if this password should not be changed what is the point to encrypt.
