ANNOUNCEMENT 2: JRE 1.7.0_201 Certified for Oracle E-Business Suite

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 & 12.1

JRE 1.7.0_201 build 11 (7u201-b11) and later updates are certified as desktop client JRE Plug-ins for Oracle E-Business Suite R12.

JRE 1.7.0_201 (32-bit) is certified as a desktop client JRE Plug-in for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 and 12.1 on the following Windows operating systems:

  • Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit)  
  • Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  style="margin-top:auto;margin-bottom:auto"
  • Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
  • Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit)

Java Deployment Technology (Important Change)

  • While this JRE release cannot launch Java it can still be used to run Java content.
  • Users wanting to run this and later JRE 7 releases must also install JRE 8 on the desktop to facilitate the initial Java launch.
